The Society for Economic Botany

Fostering research and education on the past, present, and future uses of plants by people.

About SEB

The Society for Economic Botany (SEB) is about people exploring the uses of, and our relationship with plants, cultures and our environment - plants and human affairs. You might well call our research and educational efforts, the science of survival.

Meetings

Mark your calendars for our next annual meeting, May 31 - June 4 at the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica where we will meet jointly with the International Society for Ethnobiology.   Our theme will be, "Out of Many, One People: Biocultural Diversity Across Borders".  We are planning to organize symposia according to 7 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.  Block those dates now and join us for collaboration, connection and community that will inspire and support your career.
