The Society for Economic Botany

Fostering research and education on the past, present, and future uses of plants by people.

About SEB

The Society for Economic Botany (SEB) is about people exploring the uses of, and our relationship with plants, cultures and our environment - plants and human affairs. You might well call our research and educational efforts, the science of survival.

The SEB-ISE joint conference in Jamaica is currently in the works for May/June 2022. More information will be available in a few months. Visit the SEB meeting webpage for more information on 2021 virtual programming and recordings.
